Hey there,

Let’s talk about therapy! Talk therapy is a great way to discuss things in your life that cause distress while forging new skills to manage that overwhelm.

Hi, I’m Felisia!

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Therapist)

I gained my education at University of Nevada Reno with a major in Social Work and a minor in Sociology. Social work leads with the concept of social change, development, cohesion and empowerment of the individual and community. I have worked with communities in downtown San Francisco, East Bay (CA) and now Nevada.

Outside of my profession, my passions consist of traveling, being outdoors and reading.

I am a LCSW located in Reno, Nevada, however I am virtually accessible across the states of Nevada and California. My training in DBT provides guidance to be able to work with those who want to increase their skills in areas of mindfulness, regulating emotions, tolerating stress, and balancing relationships. My Level 3 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy provides me the ability to guide couples toward ways to manage conflict, build friendship and increase shared meaning.

I strategize with my clients to develop ways to increase effectiveness, whether that be in their personal, work and/or social life. Life is hard and most people are already doing the best they can with the skills they have. In therapy, we work towards filling your skill box for various life experiences, big or small.

Individuals…

Emotions can feel overwhelming BIG at times. Something to remember is that we are supposed to feel emotions, even the unpleasant ones as they help guide our reactions. In therapy, learning how to manage our reactions to emotions becomes possible. This is a great space to learn how to increase skill knowledge and realistically applying them to day to day functioning.

Families…

Fostering an environment for honest, respectful and effective communication isn’t always easy when life is hitting the family dynamic HARD. In family therapy, we learn about validation, value systems and interpersonal effectiveness to express our needs in a safe and effective way.

Benefits of therapy…

  • identifying triggers and vulnerabilities

  • & many MORE benefits

"Therapy is a gift. It is a chance to finally be heard, understood and supported."
